300FeetOut.com named “Standard of Excellence” website in 2008 WebAwards competition

On September 16, 2008, San Francisco-based web design and branding firm 300FeetOut won recognition from the Web Marketing Association’s 2008 WebAward Competition. Its own website, www.300feetout.com, was named a “Standard of Excellence” site in the interactive services industry category.

Since 1997, the WebAward competition has named the best websites in 96 industries. Each nominated website is carefully judged by experts, who award the site 0–10 points in each of the following seven categories: Design, Innovation, Content, Technology, Interactivity, Copywriting, and Ease of Use. The “Standard of Excellence” WebAward recognizes the standard of excellence for which all websites should strive.

WebAward judges praised 300FeetOut’s website for its pleasing design and its consistent and obvious navigation, and rated it especially highly in the areas of Ease of Use, Content, and Copywriting.

“We are so excited to win this award,” said Nina Dietzel, 300FeetOut principal. “Even though we were working on our own website, we became incredibly demanding clients in no time! For every client site we create, we aim to perfectly blend functionality and design—so it was very important to achieve this balance for our own site as well.”

Not only did 300FeetOut gain recognition for its own website in this year’s WebAwards, but the website it designed for Rocky Mountain resort Aspen/Snowmass (www.aspensnowmass.com) won a coveted “Outstanding Web Site” award in the travel category. 300FeetOut isn’t resting on its laurels; the firm is working hard to make the Aspen/Snowmass site even more inviting and to create brand-building online presences for its other clients.
